Medium Complexity Character 1st Week

Working on the orbos character gave me a great opportunity to learn how to use the Z-Modeler brush to create clean looking metal plates.

First I Masked out a section in the rough shape of the plate i want.

From the extracted subtool I isolated 1 side of the mesh using polygroups, hiding parts of the mesh, and using delete hidden.

From there i used Z-remesher to drop the polycount to an extremely low count, allowing me to adjust single points using the Move Topological Brush.

After Getting the desired shape and edgeflow corrections, i used the Qmesh option in the Z-Modeler brush set to Polygroup all, allowing me to extrude from the face to make a solid object.

Using the Bevel option set to edgeloop complete in Z-Modeler

Finally, Creasing the edges i want my sub tool to retain; gives the model a clean edged look.
